I heard about a lot of people making small extra cash using Multi-Level Marketing sites online. How does it work and is it worth it??

OK, so of course everyone on here is trying to get you to visit their sites and sign up with them right? Just make sure if you do multi-level marketing, it is something you are interested in. Because you could lose some money if you aren’t 100% into it. It also usually costs some money to start up.

Multi-level marketing is like a pyramid. One person tries to recruit people to place into a left leg and a right leg below them. Then they keep adding more and more people below. It is true, the people at the top will make the most money, because they tend get rewarded for having more people below them. But here’s the thing. If you actually work at it, and get people interested and working below you, you can start making money as well. The pyramid could go on and on…..so the more people you recruit, the more money you should make.

I actually do multi-level marketing. I recently did some research on this, and I have talked to a lot of people who have had successes and some people who hated it. I found that in order to be successful, you really need to be interested in what you are marketing. Currently I am a Beachbody coach, beacuse I love motivating people and I am trying to keep myself healthy and fit. It cost me 39.95 to start (which is cheaper than most MLM companies) and I know Beachbody does tons of marketing themselves (have you ever seen the p90x , slim in 6, insanity, etc. commercials? That’s Beachbody) and they are very well-known, which ups my chances of making sales or getting others interested. How can the online marketing methods be classified broadly?

What I want to know is that which all methods can be utilized other than having a good website to market the company through online media.

Having a good website alone is no longer enough to create business online.
Assuming your website is there to develo new sales leads and attarcted customers you need to take active measures to drive tarffic to your website.
The basics include key word optimization, search engine optimization and back-link building. Each of these will contribute to your websites traffic.
Also, you can pay to buy key words on search engines so that you can appear as a Sponsored Link in search results, such as the top and side bar results on Google.
Depending on your budget, you can try to do this yourself or you can hire a firm to do this for you.

There’s no specific product or service in mind. This is about the state of online marketing in Southeast Asia and China in general.

Know why Google retreat from China ?

I can tell you based on the huge population and rapid growth in economics, the internet booms prosperously in China and many Web companies retrieve unbelievable success here such as QQ, Baidu, TaoBao, etc. But unfortunately few foreign company among them.

There are many explanations including huge culture rift, weak copyright protection, strict news censorship, and so on. It is difficult to give you the reliable infomation — and you’d better not trust the data from Chinese goverment until you’re sure you have a good understanding of Chinese goverment — but Google is a good case for research.

Does anyone have an innovative ideas for marketing an online store? How can I drive significant traffic to my store?
So far I have:

creating a blog
business cards

Business cards is mostly for ‘image’ rather than marketing. It shows that you’re serious about your business.

If you want to market an online store, I suggest you check out how other established online stores do it. The best way is to create a blog that doesn’t just sell your stuff but has quite some number if infos too that you think your target market will be interested at.

Adwords are nice but they can get pretty expensive especially if you’re marketing a newly launched store. I wouldn’t recommend it as your primary marketing tool for now. You can go to several clothing forums and blogs and join as a representative of your blog (meaning your username will be your business name or if they allow signatures, you can put your site banner and link as your signature).

It’s really all about traffic building and making sure that you have good content.

"I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again – web traffic is the life blood of any online business. Even if you have the greatest product or website to offer, without traffic your business won’t generate any money."

My paper product is useful at all times for decorating and wearing. Many organizations already have heard about me through direct mail campaigns buy frequently. This includes camps libraries and schools. However, since I have stopped the direct-mail on account of the expense, and have focused on eBay sales I feel I have limited my market. What I would like to know are some doable beginning steps for online marketing beyond eBay?

Direct mail is great, and there are mailing lists out there (school databases) that are free. I would recommend a direct mail postcard campaign, try and get in some catalogs, also you might want to target colleges with education programs – the cool things they discover in their college classes (and build lesson plans around) they tend to take into their jobs as innovative ideas.

There is not a set way common for everyone.

Start with Google webmaster official blogs and participate productively in reputed forums like webmasterworld.

People who have been in your shoes are kinder when they see sincerity and are open to guiding you down the right path.

Learning the basics is easy from forums like above or blogs like :

etc; it is the practice that takes years in perfecting your skills.

And sorry to disappoint you but studying online marketing does not necessarily equals becoming a millionaire.

I am researching online affiliate marketing. Say I am looking to sell something online. Let’s also say I want to leverage affiliate marketing networks to advertise my product. As the merchant, is it common to have the ability to choose which type of advertising channel you are marketed to or is it more like a shotgun blast across the internet?
